So where do i start? The objective of the game is simple, survive and not in the sense of fallout or minecraft but the sense that the focus point of the game is endure and survive. You have numerous objectives along the way but in general you’re in a world of chaos where survival is the key to living, against the infected and the ever more unpredictable humans. The method of gameplay is totally in your hands, you can decide to sneak past everyone, sneak and kill or go all guns blazing keeping in mind that unlike most games where the world has ‘lack of ammo’ but still get plenty, The Last Of Us has nailed it right on only get 1-9 bullets when scavenging from dead bodies, cases and other environments e.g wardrobes and houses, so serious thinking is needed when to use your ammo or save it because if you use it on easy situations, unless on easy, will make you shit out of luck when you need it the most.
So now to gameplay, while this will be hard to do because i want to do a review with very little spoilers i will give it my best. The gameplay has a very special feel to it and this is no doubt down to the environment, sounds and atmosphere of the game, it is visually beautiful and i haven't even experienced it on a ps4, if you have played the Uncharted Series you know that is is expected of Naughty Dog now they are recreating the story based game to envelop you in emotions and senses, nothing beats walking down a abandoned high school  with a flashlight and shit loads of infected coming from every dark angle but also if you are a type of player who can connect with characters and understand the emotions they are feeling you won't want to pass this up. Also the difficulty of the game is interesting because it’s hard in way,by this i mean i  completed it on medium in 2 days now you may think that's not very long for a game but i got so incredibly sucked it i couldn't bring myself to put another game in or even consider it and at this point the week before i had been playing Metro; The Last Light i had died roughly 3 times by the half way point, whereas TLOU, i died numerous times due mainly to Clickers ,an infected enemy, obviously you have to see this as a plus surely you don’t want a game you’re going to fly though in a few hours of gameplay, although clickers are piss annoying, the general gameplay is entertaining and playable more than once for the fact of different ways of playing the game although be same scenarios, its good to play through again with the same character and decide to gun blaze it because you have upped the difficulty and feel the action full on i only say this because i felt in the situation of the game in real life i would sneak therefore that's what i did first play through
Now at this point i would recommend a similar game for comparison but that is the beauty of it, i can’t, this game is unique in every way, the story made me emotional from the word go, gripping and very intense the closest thing i could compare is Uncharted series and that's more than likely because it is by naughty dog so you get the obvious similarities. The graphics are in the gaming world ‘sexy and beautiful’ in game and cut-scene not to forget the effortless merging between the two can leave you staring at your screen thinking you are waiting for the cut scene to end when really its waiting for you to play it.
Overall this game is a huge 10/10 , 5*, 100%. I could not recommend a game higher! I paid £38 for it and like every human you get disappointed when that leaves your pocket but this game fills that void instantly, if you can’t afford scavenge money to rent it because it is worth every pound/dollar/euro. I actually feel sorry for xbox fans unlucky, on that note a high majority have a Ps4 now so go get the game on enjoy it.
Do i want a second one? Yes. Do i want it to follow the first one. No
Thanks for reading, please share would be much appreciated as i want to do this on a regular basis.
